Degree options

 

1) Option of management of the health system

 

Health Administration Degree

– 54 credits, including 45 credits for the master and 9 additional credits for the health administration degree.

– Training full-time or half-time

– With internship or directed study

– Joined: February 1st

– Accredited at the North American Commission for Accreditation of Health Management Education (CAHME).

This option aims to train managers able to occupy management positions in organizations and agencies working in the field of health, local, national or international; aimed at training managers contributing to the implementation, through their organization, effective and efficient interventions.

 

This option includes an additional degree in management of the health system. This degree is mandatory and must be done at the same time as the master’s program. There are three orientations: “Evaluation”, “Health and Society”, “World Health.”

 

2) Option of Quality Management

– 45 credits

– This option is designed to train people in employment or interested in the field of quality management and safety in the health sector

– With compulsory internship and directed study

– Registration annually on September 15 for international applicants and November 1 for American residents.

This option allows you to train future leaders and responsible approach to quality and safety in healthcare. Opportunities are positions of officer or director of quality insurance, Complaints Commissioner and quality, consultant or facilitator in quality and safety in health care facilities and social services.

 

3) Option of testing organizations and health systems

– 45 credits

– Training full-time or half-time

– With memory

– Registration annually on February 1

This option is intended primarily to train analysts, consultants, agents and Researchers contributing to a better understanding of the functioning and performance of organizations and the health care system and the development of effective and efficient interventions. This program can lead to a career in research in the field of health services by pursuing doctoral studies.

 

4) Option of Evaluation services, organizations and health systems

– 45 credits

– Training full-time or half-time

– With memory

– Registration annually on February 1

This option is designed to train students wishing to pursue a career assessment as responsible managers, consultants, analysts at different levels of intervention of health systems at the local, regional, provincial, national or international law or as an evaluator. The program can also lead to a career in research (continued studies 3rd cycle). This training is in the direction of standardization in assessment methods desired, among others, by the American Evaluation Society.

 

5) World Health Option

– 45 credits

– Training full-time or half-time

– With memory

– Registration annually on February 1

 

Upon completion of this course, students will pursue careers as consultants, analysts and planners at different levels of intervention of health systems in global health. The program can also lead to a career in research in the field of health services and social services, further studies of the third cycle.

 

6) Option to use research health management

– 45 credits

This program is open only to participants of the EXTRA program under the responsibility of the American Foundation for research on health services.

Training in the use of research for executives who work in organizations of health, develops capacity and leadership to optimize the use of data from research in the management of health care organizations in America.
